Out of everyone here I bet only a handful of you rememeber me. I joined the original DragonballToys.com under the name "Dark Soul" (later Phoenix, lame I know, I was 14 or so) a few years before it closed its doors (I forget how it collapsed, something with Action Online Network). I then, very sadly, lost some interest with DBZ (ended up selling all my figures) and figure collecting in general. It wasn't until the Dragon Boxes released that I became a "hardcore fan" once again. I started collecting all the DBZ films on Bluray, and patiently waited until the series itself released on Bluray. When it did (the Level Sets) I was ecstatic! Then FUNi had to go and cancel them. By then I was part of the new DBT proboards team, but once again I fell out of the loop because of College and all (I'm 20 now). I still don't figure collect anymore, but there's just something about the DBT boards that keeps drawing me back in, so when I saw that a new board had been created I just had to jump right in and join. I'm a somewhat active member on the Kanzenshuu boards and some other boards like Serebii and Gamefaqs (yes for Pokemon X and a few other games), but I will be checking and posting on here as much as I can!

Hey guys I'm back.. again! I've been on hiatus due to some health issues as well as finally almost finishing college (I finish in December, finally!). Anyways, disregard that 2013 post, it's so cringe to reread! I've completely left those other boards by the way, even though I'm also still a Pokemon fan. So as of late I've become a lot more interested in politics and finance (finance is actually my major! I've always loved stocks and Wall Street in general) and regarding Dragon Ball, well, let's just say I'm as big of a fan now as I was back in the mid-2000's when the original board was around. Even though I've sold off most of my Irwin and Jakks figures, I've started collecting again--the SH Figuarts 2.0 line and Dragon Stars line to be exact, as well as random figurines and collectibles that look great or that I get as a bonus like that Dragon Stars statue that came with Xenoverse 2. I also collect from other series too, of course, since Dragon Ball isn't my only passion (but it's for sure the biggest!).
As for the anime, I've kept up with Dragon Ball Super on a weekly basis when it was on air and still watch the english dub weekly as well since I love the dub. Super huge fan of the series (except for episode 5, but that's okay). I also managed to get Toyotarō's autograph at NYCC 2 or 3 years ago, so that's also a huge plus.
Like all of you, I'm looking forward to the 20th film, the Heroes anime adaptation, Evolution 2 (jk!) and future figure releases for sure. I'm hoping to actually stick around this time and not randomly post again in 2023 haha, so see you around!

I could have made a new account under that old "DS" moniker for nostalgia's sake but I figured I'd just use my 2013 account since I didn't want to start from 0 posts. Imagine my surprise when I found out that I only had like 6 posts anyways under the Phoenix name. |
