I totally agree with all of those. The lack of Yamcha figures was just down right silly.

I wish Irwin had made Series 12 (Vegito, Tien, SS Gotenks, Mystic Gohan, and Super Buu). I don't think it was ever confirmed but it seems all those figures were about to be released before Irwin went bankrupt and then Jakks got their hands on them. They still came out OK (I think Irwin had the casts prepared for all of them except SS Gotenks and Jakks simply produced them) but everything after that series had a very distinct Jakks feel. I think a Jakks Future Trunks with elbow articulation could've been pretty cool...and although it would've been a cheap mash up of other parts I still would've liked a Jakks Yamcha. Outside of that...hm...Zarbon...Cooler...more five inch movie villians...I'm not sure what else I would've liked.

I could give you a list of hundreds of characters they didn't make that they should have. Literally and probably close to 700-800 characters, but I won't do that. It was always interesting to me that Irwin didn't make Frieza Final Form in their articulated series, let alone Yamcha and Tien in their respective Orange and green outfits.

Anything and everything saiyan and namek saga based! I'm talking Yamcha, saibamen, Kuwi, Dodoria, Zarbon, etc.

I wish they have made the Bear Thief, Giran, Bactrian, Buyon, Bora, Dr. Wheelo or any other big size characters that haven't been made (to combine for HG). More vehicles like the Nameless Namekian spaceship could have been so freakin sweet!!

It's funny you say that because most of the figures in the early Jakks series's (12-15) had a very Irwin feel to them. Pikkon, Tien, Super Buu, SS3 Gotenks, and Vegito in particular. What about them was not to your liking?

Irwin only made 3 series of pre-Cell era figures and 3 Cell era series, but they made 5 Buu era series(and planned a 6th). I know the Buu sagas were airing at the time, but still. At least Jakks went back and filled in some of the gaps, but there's still a lot of notable characters missing from the early arcs.

I wish Bandai or somebody would start making 5 inch scale figures again. I could really use the help filling in characters into my collection.
Can you imagine if Irwin did to the Saiyan and Namek sagas what they did to the Buu Saga? And by that, I mean "let's make everybody! Even Pui Pui!"
We would have gotten for Saiyan Saga: Yamcha, Goz, Mez, the Farmer, Roshi in shorts, Bulma in blue shirt & white shorts, Toddler Gohan, Gohan in orange gi, Gohan in purple gi with white bandana, Saibamen, Tien, Ox King, Chaozu (instead of the late DB Chaozu they made), etc. They could have made Garlic Jr., Nicky, Sansho, Ginger, Dr. Wheelo, Dr. Kochin, some biomen, Turles, Cacao, Amond, Raisin and Lakasei, and Deiz to correspond with the movies everybody had definitely seen several times on TV too.
But here's where every 5 inch toy line is really lacking. Irwin could have made Kuwi, Zarbon, Dodoria, Raspberry, Appule, Blueberry, Sui, Banan, Nail, Cargo, Moori, Guru, Frieza form 1 with hoverpod, a decent Burter, a better Jeice, Guldo, Recoome, Ginyu, Malaka, etc. Jakks could have made them all too instead of just some of them.
How epic would a 5 inch Frieza's Force have been? I'd even settle for DeAgostini versions! Without DeAgostini and Editions Atlas, there wouldn't even be a very complete set of DBGT characters.
It's always annoyed me how easily I've filled in my Buu and Cell Saga collections, but almost everything in my Saiyan and Namek Saga collections is stuff I've had to make because either nothing exists, or what does exist isn't painted very cool, isn't scaled well, or isn't sculpted well.

I too, wouldn't mind 5 inch scaled Deagostini-type statues of these characters at this point. I've done pretty well at filling in the main Namek and Saiyan Saga holes with customs even though many main ones still remain to be made aka King Yemma, Princess Snake, Zaacro and Raiti etc.
It just really baffles me that the Movie characters got so neglected. All of them too. Look at Cooler. Not one 5 inch scale version exists, metal or not, that isn't a custom. Look at the henchmen of all of the villains? There's like a total of 30+ movie henchmen and nothing, zip, nada were made. Dr. Wheelo? Psh. One manufactured figure of him exists in total ever and it's a 1 inch rubber Keshi figure that isn't painted.

Branjita Ha, I had Pui Pui as a kid, and I always felt like "who the f*** is this guy and what the hell am I supposed to do with him?" Aside from Evil Buu and a few others, I thought their Buu saga figures were terrible.

Irwin's Buu Saga figures were pretty good I thought. Dabura, Evil Buu, Fat Buu, Hercule, Videl, Yellow Suit Yamcha, Majin Vegeta, SS3Goku, Kabito, and Supreme Kai were awesome sculpts.
On the other hand, Krillin's head was too big, Gotenks' also had a big head, SSTrunks and SSGoten were too short, SS2Gohan's hair was too long, I guess Babidi's head was also too big but I think it was a good sculpt. But that's not a bad amount.
For Jakks, the Buu Saga figures were their highlight. Gohan Buu, Tien, Vegito, and Pikkon were fantastic. I wish Super Buu's legs moved and Kid Buu was made too tall. SSGotenks had ugly eyes and SS3Gotenks' head was too large.

SSGotenks had ugly eyes and SS3Gotenks' head was too large. I wouldn't know about Dabura, cause I never owned him and forgot he existed until you mentioned him now. I have two Hercule's and the proportions are awful. Videl is a good looking figure but she is so short just like Bulma and Chi-Chi, and her articulation is awful. Wouldn't know about Yamcha, but he never seemed like an exciting figure to me. I could be wrong though. I own the SS3 Goku you mentioned and, IMO, he is horrible. The yellow hair Majin Vegeta was a an awesome figure, I will give you that. Best Buu saga Vegeta body sculpt ever. But it lacked important articulation. There are two big reasons why I've always preferred Jakks over Irwin (for the most part). Articulation and skin tones. Articulation is self-explanatory, but Irwin did not know how to do good-looking skin tones. They would either do lifeless skin-colored plastic with no shading and/or wash (Raditz, Nappa), or they would paint the skintone on with this really nasty, ugly paint. The painted on ugliness is very apparent on Buu Saga Krillin, High School Gohan, SS3 Goku, and even Majin Vegeta. It was very unprofessional to me, even as a 9 year old, and turned me off to the figures. And while some people praise Irwin for giving us characters that we would have never got with Jakks (I agree), they also took it too far sometimes. I went into KB Toys a lot when I was a kid, and all I would see were figures like Spopovich and Pui-Pui warming the pegs. They made some really boring ones. But Irwin definitely cared more about the license that they held than Jakks. Jakks has made some truly amazing figures, but as evidenced by the horrendous figures that they sometimes put out and their disgusting amount of parts re-use, they didn't care too much. And how about those bogus rocks they include with EVERY F*CKING FIGURE? Jakks, a company known for making the best accessories and playsets of all time with their WWF/WWE figures, gave us rocks repeatedly for DBZ. Yeah, it's clear they didn't care.
