Here we go with the scans.
I tried to put the cardboards into a chronological order, maybe I did a few little mistakes, but more or less they shall be in the correct order. I'll put translations of the name series as well, even if those names seems given randomly to me...
I could have found out that there was a Giochi preziosi reissue of Android 17, that's the only character being released by them that I can't see on those cardboards and that I can think of.
Early releases ( 1999 - 2008)
Bandai SBC reissues. NOTE: For some weird reasons DBZ was initially called "What's my Destiny Dragonball" in italy - see logo on these cardboards

Mixed Bandai SBC - AB reissues.

First DBGT sculpts by Preziosi.

GOLD Series. NOTE: While selling the series above preziosi started to import also more Bandai figures in Italy, often the ones repackaged by Irwin Toys. For some reason gold haired versions were more common than yellow haired versions in stores. Collectors in Italy tended to prefer gold version just for a matter of avaiability, so I guess they demanded to offer a few more models with golden features to have a coherent collection. By the way this is also the reason I tend to make gold haired figures as customs for my own collection.

Irwin Toys reissues. NOTE: A good part of Irwin Toys were imported also in Italy (but a lot of time later than in the USA), some of them were repackaged and had a reprinted cardboard with italian writings. In this specific cardboard you can see Piccolo's name renamed as Junior, which was the actual name used into the italian dub of the animated series. Just because Piccolo spunds funny in Italy (means literally small), and Piccolo called himself Ma Junior at the end of the first dragonball series (budokai tournament) even in the original manga.

Preziosi's new sculpts ( 2008 - 2013 )
Saiyans' Legend - Decisive Duel. NOTE: They used a lot of fantasy in names, but basically all the series were re-reissues of their own models. You can notice immediately from this cardboard that there was a variant of Kid Gohan with better proportions. I remind variants of Vegeta, Goku, Goku SS, Vegeta SS: mainly with some improvements on the faces.

Striking Move

Last Round

Glorious Destiny

Secret Weapon

Mysterious Technique

Ki Blast

Revenge Thirst NOTE: Android 17 was also included into this series, but I can't find him on any paper. A first release of Preziosi's Imperfect Cell might also have been included into this series.

Conquering the Universe

Invincible Blast

Saiyans' Revenge

Dragonball Z NOTE: the most recent series released at end of 2012 - 2013. As preziosi insisted too much into the release of the same characters again and again, instead of dedicating more to enemies or new characters the sales decreased, with the exception of Cell which was sold out everywhere. I have one avaiable on my e-bay store right now, I doubt I'll ever have it again for sale: www.ebay.com/sch/brolyssj4_it/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=&rt=nc&LH_PrefLoc=2
I doubt there will be more Preziosi series, unless after more new DBZ Gods movies they'll decide to dedicate a series to them.

There was also a variant of the same figures with a Ki blast action, here's Goku SS as an example:

Also another version of the back of the 2013 series cardboard:

Playsets
Dragon Arena. NOTE: Who bought it from me knows how incredibly huge this thing is.
It was released in two version: DBZ (vegeta included) and DBGT (Goku SS4 & Vegeta SS4 included). When I go to my parents' home I'll scan also the back side of the arena playset box whch shows a few more figures.

Electron. NOTE: This was basically a power level reading feature. Actually the meaning of the numbers in the previous papers is referred to the "electron level". This base reads the level of the characters and an audio says their name and power level. Could have been a nice idea if threated differently. Electron figures feet are not articulated for this reason.

Dragon Gym.

Goku with Shenron.

Mini Figures

Another scan of mini figures coming in the next days
Giant Figures
