Hold on there, it might not be a total waste. Maybe if they give XV Trunks a large neck peg like they did Cell Games Trunks, the consumer would be able to swap the short hair onto the armored body. Then again, I doubt someone would waste their money just for that. |

Why would anyone want either of those video game characters? The one that looks like Gohan is the worst. He's at the top of the list of characters nobody would want.  |

I am also shocked and quite intrigued by this revelation. Interesting that there are 2 entries. Figure Dragon Ball Z SHFiguarts trunks Edition XENOVERSE 4860 yen Bandai Figure Dragon Ball Z SHFiguarts TP (time Patroller) XENOVERSE Edition 4860 yen Bandai As far as I can tell, there is only 1 variety of Trunks in Xenoverse, which begs the question. Is this is an error. Or is the second figure the Time Patroller playable character?? Seems possible. Yeah, I was really interested to see that there were 2 entries for the month. Maybe this is a sign of things to come if Adam Newman was serious about putting the gas on the line? (3 entries for Dragon Ball Character Categories if you include Figuarts Zero EX Super Saiyan 4 Goku.) The 2nd figure seems to be the default Time Patroller from the series which is kind of surprising. I think it would have been a better choice if they included a villain. I'll have to see how it looks before I make judgement on wanting to purchase it or not. It took me a long time to want to purchase Whis. |

Interesting...I'm looking forward to seeing both. The Xenoverse releases are certainly aimed towards the Western market so I imagine we'll be seeing these revealed as early as this weekend at NYCC. |

That would be pretty great. It's odd how NYCC has never had any substantial Figuarts reveals.
I'm a bit taken aback by the widespread negative reception for this news (from here, Facebook groups, and other forums). Chances are both releases will be well made and fairly impressive. I'll admit, the Time Patroller may wind up as the least exciting figure in the entire line but I'm trying to look at it like this...Xenoverse 2 has a heavy focus on movie villains. Who knows? Having a Figuarts Xenoverse line might provide a decent excuse to get some movie characters.

I doubt they'll have issues selling them, since I would imagine they'll be going on pre-order around the time that Xenoverse gets released. I like the idea of having a Time Patrol Trunks, it's just so out of left field. If someone asked me to make a list of all the figuarts figures they'll make, this one wouldn't even be on the list lol. Makes sense marketing wise, though. If there would be a time for the figures, it would be now when DBZ is back in full swing and the Xenoverse game is just being released.
It would be cool if they somehow allowed the Time Patroller to be customizable. Maybe coming with a lot of different accessories or something.

Figuarts reveals happen at Japanese events. I believe Adam Newman was told by higher ups to take down Tien and Yamcha from the SDCC display for that reason. I could be proven wrong and they'll allow them to be displayed at NYCC but my guess is still Tamashii Nations Event later this month. I'm not surprised. Certain collectors have been demanding specific characters for a long time. 2 releases that are from a video game is only adding fuel to that fire. Xenoverse releases could absolutely be used as potential door openers for other video game and movie characters and designs. Considering they're video game created character and designs, and while they may not be "popular" releases among some collectors, I see them selling well. Tamashii Nations is capitalizing on these releases at the perfect time. I was thinking of something similar, as well. I know there are a lot of customization designs that we can do in Xenoverse so it would be cool if Tamashii Nations gives a few accessories to have fun customizing the figure. |

I honestly hope it's like the Barbie of DB Figures, where it just comes with a ton of accessories, so we could make our own custom characters to pose with the rest of our figuarts. Different hair, clothing, hats, glasses, ect. Even just accessories that other figures could use, like a dragon radar or dragon balls.
I doubt they'll make it that customizable, but if they do! They will have my money.
