S.H.Figuarts Upcoming Releases

Then just paint a current Figuarts scouter green, and voila!

Unfortunately, there would be NO one to pose him with. No Jeice, Kid Gohan, Namek Krillin, Navy armor Vegeta, or Ginyu yet.

I'd have one issue with the Kid Gohan addition. Like Chiaotzu, he'd likely be made in a stuck pose, which means he's only useful if Piccolo is in his defense pose. Limits your options, but cool nonetheless. Even if you decided to use a regular Piccolo blocking a Saibaman attack on the posed Gohan, it wouldn't work because the Saibaman can't really pose for it either.

It just bothers me that Figuarts is starting to include these tiny figures with little to no articulation, when articulation is the basis of their success. I mean, Chiaotzu can't even pose with Tien. He is stuck on Nappa's back. Would it have been that hard to just give him ball jointed articulation in his joints so he could pose on Nappa and with Tien in standing position?

I'd like Piccolo 2.0 to be non-battle damaged and match Saiyan Saga, I don't care if he comes with his cape or hat (since he didn't fight Raditz or Nappa wearing them) but it would be nice if he did, and it would be cool if he came with a little kid Gohan that was to scale. Gohan could have 2 heads.



If he's battle damaged, then he needs a Gohan that looks like this. But this pose could be achieved by having basic articulated arms and twist articulation on the wrists on a Gohan posed like above, and him just being able to cover his face.


I don't know if you guys remember this or not, but Piccolo died right after the damage to his clothing. His clothes weren't damaged before he was hit with the blast, and he did not fight after being blasted. So technically, if he was damaged to match the artwork where Nappa killed him (legs showing) then he really wouldn't match other times his clothes got ripped, like in the battle against Lord Slug (?) and whenever else. Those times he usually ended up with half his shirt missing and just rips on his pants. One time I think the bottom of one pant leg was ripped, but not both. If you want one with ripped pants and a painful expression, you could literally just buy the Scultures one and have the perfect pose and everything. He basically fell to the ground and died after that. So I don't personally find one that has THAT much damage very useful outside of that pose.

Personally, I'd rather have a non-battle damaged Piccolo 2.0 with the new joints and better sculpt, than a BD one. And he needs to be much taller than the old one, even though he was barely taller than Tien in Saiyan Saga. By Namek Saga he was getting to be really tall. They could include a face like LR Piccolo has in Dokkan Battle and not damage his clothes, and he'd still work for displaying with a Gohan and fighting Nappa.


I'd like it if he came with these two faces:

Complete with veins.


And this one, which could also work for getting hit by Nappa's blast:


Other than those two faces, I don't really care. If he comes with a hat and cape, I'm fine with having only one head and expression on a single hat head with resting bitchface.



Also, thanks to Yamcha coming with a (sadly not proper scale) Saibaman and Tien coming with a (properly scaled) Chaozu, I am really hopeful (and more optimistic) about us getting a Raditz in the future with a (properly scaled) toddler Gohan with him.
