I'd have one issue with the Kid Gohan addition. Like Chiaotzu, he'd likely be made in a stuck pose, which means he's only useful if Piccolo is in his defense pose. Limits your options, but cool nonetheless. Even if you decided to use a regular Piccolo blocking a Saibaman attack on the posed Gohan, it wouldn't work because the Saibaman can't really pose for it either. It just bothers me that Figuarts is starting to include these tiny figures with little to no articulation, when articulation is the basis of their success. I mean, Chiaotzu can't even pose with Tien. He is stuck on Nappa's back. Would it have been that hard to just give him ball jointed articulation in his joints so he could pose on Nappa and with Tien in standing position? Custom is coming.....just find the way to articulate....and enjoy! I'd love to see someone articulate the Chiaotzu, but it may only be possible with some sculpting  |

chiaoutzu I can live without articulation, not like he plays a significant role and he doesnt have much expressions. Kid gohan as well seeing as he changes and grows all the time.

Let's hope Roshi will be released in the Z/Super lines. I'm happy to finally get a well sculpted and articulated Roshi though, and will be pickin up the humongous one.
Fat Buu is a must buy. People are going to be disappointed by his articulation though.
I'm hoping Goku 2.0 comes with a halo and Bubbles! I want to replace my Jakks Bubbles. I'd even pay for an "accessory" pack that's got him, Gregory, and Puar in static poses. Kind of like what Tamashii did with the Mario enemies.

I'd rather just get a Piccolo 2.0 over the battle damage one to replace my SDCC one since he seems a bit small.

Personally, I'd rather have a non-battle damaged Piccolo 2.0 with the new joints and better sculpt, than a BD one. And he needs to be much taller than the old one, even though he was barely taller than Tien in Saiyan Saga. By Namek Saga he was getting to be really tall. They could include a face like LR Piccolo has in Dokkan Battle and not damage his clothes, and he'd still work for displaying with a Gohan and fighting Nappa. I'd like it if he came with these two faces: Other than those two faces, I don't really care. If he comes with a hat and cape, I'm fine with having only one head and expression on a single hat head with resting bitchface. Agreed on all fronts. |

Yep would love to have the same piccolo but just updated and with anime colors. Would love it if he came with a kid Gohan. But honestly if they made a battle damaged one I would still buy it lol.

hopefully im wrong on this but...
with db being huge scale, i wonder if its going to affect buyers and affect sales:
Big figure (king piccolo/tien would be huge) + requires more materials = huge price, and DB is not nearly as popular as Z or super characters.
hopefully its not a recipe for failure.

Well, I don't know if you guys have seen the pic (I saw it Saturday, so I have no idea where to find it) but Bulma isn't to scale with Roshi and kid Goku. She might be somewhere between Vegeta's size and adult Goku's size with possibly a larger head than either of them. So I don't know who exactly she is supposed to scale with.

Sad that such beautiful figures cannot be accurately scaled. Probably the easiest part about making it, too. Kind of pathetic, tbh.

For the life of me I can’t figure out why they went with such an odd scale for the DB line. All it will do is cost more money and detract buyers

Exactly. They went with what appears to be a 7 inch scale for DB that is one step taller than Figuarts...hell, they could have gone with a scale just smaller than Figuarts (5 inch scale) and made some of us other collectors happy. But nope.
It's like we don't exist.

I'm guessing you mean photos from CCXP, this was the best I could find though because it has Bulma in the background of a Vegeta pic. A bit hard to really tell her height because of perspective though.
