Sounds pretty bad a$$ bran! Is that the first time uve really seen and messed with a figuarts figure? Also what did u think of the rock effect pieces? That sucks they didn't have any prototypes there or 17 and 18 for u to inspect better. Still cool u got to set up the display. Hey I just noticed is that normal vegeta battle damaged or altered in any way?

Yeah, it's the first time I've played with them, mine are all still in their brown shipping boxes lol. No 17 or 18 there that I know of. They do have a box/case of Cell, manga Piccolo, and SS Goku though. The Vegeta had a loose waist, right leg that didn't have much strength, heads that kept falling off the neck, and I couldn't get the tail inserted into his back. I also couldn't figure out how to get the scouter to stay on, I think it should have had a deep slot and a longer peg. Krillin was good, comes with tons of pieces, and I suppose my only complaint is his legs don't seem very posable, he needs some more ankle articulation. Oh, and his destructo disk is a piece of crap. Totally looks like a high hat cymbal or whatever. I would prefer he come with another face similar to the eyes closed one, but with his eyes open. I didn't feel like he had a great kakusan-ha face available. That said, I do believe he was one of the better figures I messed with, I mean, he looks like Krillin, and he's quality. Goku was great, though I wish he had a swivel joint at the top of his boots and more ability to rotate his thighs. And the kamehameha does not look good--needs to be more transparent and better painted, it looks like the bootleg effects that come with the super effects dx figures. I really like him though. Frieza was great overall, just pretty short for my taste. The battle damaged ground effects are cool. The ones I used didn't come straight from the package, so I don't know if they come with stands, but they desperately need them if not, because you can't do much with them without stands. They need to make one that is a water splash. My Vegeta scene is kind of like the Zarbon and Recoome scenes. Mostly Recoome. The sailor moon characters are really great, but because their legs are so long, they can be difficult to pose, and their necks can look a bit short sometimes. The Gundam was super posable. Lots of engineering evident in him.
Today I'll show the Bluefin guys the results of our polls here and promote Bardock, Tien, and Yamcha as being the fan favorites for being produced. I mention in what I printed that Majin Vegeta is also somebody many people want.
Funimation's right across from Bluefin, so I will go check them out today too.

(display) The use of the effects is pretty great but the variety is lacking. I wonder why they didn't provide more figures? I wanted to see what you would have done with some of the others.
(poll) YES. That may be the best thing I've read on here. A poll alone was never going to do much but showing it in person? That might actually do something. It may not cause a 2015 release for any of them but even a little noise is good.
I wonder if you can pull any SDCC info out of them...maybe mention prototypes or when they plan to show the 2014 exclusive?

When I arrived today I was disappointed to see that someone had played with Goku and changed some things on him. He was basically waving his two fingered hand in the air... for no purpose. My "Burter" and "Guldo" were relocated too. No biggie, just not cool lol. Eventually Krillin ended up getting jumped on by Mario.
I heard comments from several people who really liked what I did with Vegeta. He remained the awesome way he was all day.
I passed off the poll results at the end of the day to the ome in charge, and he said he'd forward it to the decision makers at Bandai. Throughout the day, I mentioned to the other Bluefin employees how Tien, Yamcha, and Bardock led our polls, closely followed by Gotenks, Goten, and Trunks. I hope it has some impact. @silrean and several others should be happy, as I mentioned that many people really wanted Majin Vegeta, but I didn't have him as a selection in the poll due to not really thinking about him. I also wrote that on the poll results as well.
I'll ask tomorrow about the next sdcc exclusive, I didn't even think about it.
For those wondering, the Gundam stuff is the hottest seller. That stuff was flying off the shelves. Most things that are big, expensive, and hard to ship sold very well. As far as DBZ goes, the figuarts zero ss Vegeta sold out very quickly, so there's definitely a market for dbz statues, though few of us here (who are vocal) are big fans of figuarts zero statues. That statue in particular looks really great in person. SS Trunks is ok, and ss Goku has a relatively long and large head for his proportions, but he also sold out today. There were two ss trunks the last time I looked. The dbz figuarts stuff sold ok, nothing particular to report there. I suppose a lot of Vegeta sold. The wearable scouters sold very well, and the shodo figures did not.
One of the coolest looking things is a Godzilla enemy that is a yellow-gold dragon with three heads. It looks super cool and sold well today.

Oh gosh, how could I forget this... I talked to several people about the DBZ figures and was told that Bandai is interested in making figures based on the new movie and "new series". But to be honest, I'd rather have a Janemba or Turles if they are going to make movie characters!  |

Thank you Branjita. I really appreciate the info. I'm dying for a Super Vegeta and Post Time Chamber Trunks. If I got those, I wouldn't complain about any release.
