Goku was revealed on April 29 2015 (through Animexico), and assuming Tamashii Nations doesn't prevent an early reveal we could end up seeing the 2016 SDCC exclusive by the end of this month or in early May.

Dude it seems like you didn't read all my posts?! Me bully? No, just gave my opinion. A apology from me? LOL! Nope! Sorry! Not going to happen. I never "attempted" to make anyone feel bad, just gave my opinion, if he takes it wrong that's on him. Its vise versa, he basically said that he find collectors who open boxes annoying as he has a hard time finding them still sealed, basically saying I'm annoying to him. Which is fair. I never said my way is better? Where did you get that from? ? Like I said it seems you didn't read all my posts as I said that he has his way of collecting and I have mine, as in accepting his way of collecting and never said he was wrong and like moving on with the topic of the thread that it was. You really need to calm down a read posts thoroughly and comprehend what your reading.
I see two possibilities here. A. You are completely unaware (certainly apathetic) of how others might react to what you had to say with your post (which I highly doubt since you started the post with "no offense to you"). B. You ARE aware and you're playing the fool, i.e. trolling...and if this is the case you really shouldn't be shocked when people respond accordingly. Honestly. You are bothered that the guy keeps his figures sealed (which somehow makes it your business) and you proceed to claim the guy is purely a scalper because of what he has chosen to do with what he has bought, under the guise of "giving your opinion". Either you are missing something or you are a very subtle troll. |

The potential for profit will always be a positive selling point for web exclusives simply because investing in figures isn't wise. When buying a figure (of all things) for over $40 at a time it's great to know you can eventually get your money back, and in most cases profit comes with that.
Regarding the PCE releases...I don't think the effect Premium Color releases have on the original releases will ever be truly significant. As it stands now SS Vegeta and Trunks are still being sold over $100, which is still more than double the original price. It will take some time but within a few years not only with those prices slowly rise back up but the price of the PCE releases will also increase since they are web exclusives. I highly doubt collectors who abandon the Figuarts line because they are disgruntled that the value of their figures has dropped could possibly harm the line when compared to the number of people who are more than willing to leap on a lower price (which ultimately supports the line).
and...just to squeeze in a gratuitous opinion...I don't care how much Cell is supposedly worth, I hate it. It looks incredible but it's far too loose. I simply can't wait to see a PCE version with tightened joints.

You sure that's a custom? A kaioken Goku would be a lazy re-do for a SDCC event that would match what they have been doing prior. definitely a custom. It was made by a guy named Apink Sant. The Instagram account is private but I found his Facebook page..."Darwis" is based in Indonesia and certain events in Indonesia have included customs in their displays in the past. |

as always it's best to wait for in hand images before forming opinions on new releases. chances are this is the prototype (usually what are shown in Out of Da Box videos) and dismissing the figure based on how the prototype looks doesn't accomplish anything.

It looks really really good. It looks like the skin does have shading. One thing that must be kept in mind, what they have in that video is the prototype. Every other pic/video of the Trunks that has come out shows the pale glossy skin. I shouldn't dwell on it, not like it will change anything at this point, but the prototype looks so good...just absolutely spot on. The skin looks perfectly anime accurate there and the final product differs greatly. I'm 99% sure the armored Trunks won't have skin that's even slightly close to either version of Trunks. Honestly...the inconsistencies, the constant consistent inconsistencies (that almost seem to be following strict guidelines, as if the figures are never supposed to be truly correct) are really getting to me. Tamashii has done so much to make me lose interest in the line...I've thought about selling my collection more often than not. I'll never know why so many mistakes are made. didn't mean to go on a rant. It's just getting hard to ignore imperfections in this line. |

another instance of the prototype looking better than the final product as far as I'm concerned. The prototype had the perfect skin tone and if the figure looked anything like it I would definitely say the PCE version is better. As it is the PCE Trunks is as pale as SS Gohan. This time I prefer the original.  |

It's good that Vegeta was included in this, you can see how Vegeta's face looks flat...there's a noticeable distinction between the two. The skin on Trunks is reflecting a bit too much light.

It may not look like it but the body definitely has shading. The blue used for the shading just doesn't really stand out.  |

going back to what I said earlier. I actually really like this Vegeta and didn't expect to. I think I can even warm up to the glossy hair (it certainly has a "powered up" feel to it, more so than the matte hair...but I still can't stand another set of inconsistent hair). Hair and unsculpted recolored boot tips aside, I'm really liking what I'm seeing.
