VERY interesting...it will be great to have a proper Diddy Kong figure. The Skull Kid and Ganon figures are also intriguing.

figured this was worth posting. I've been a bit obsessed with Gunpla models the past few months, if you dig around for some of the customs people have made you can find some astounding paint work....anyway...here's a truly anime styled custom RX-78-2 model kit. The kit was modified to make the limbs a bit more elongated and was then painted as if the model was an animation cel. source with more imagesI can't find any caps from the anime but here's a stock image of the RX-78-2. another interesting sight related to paint, a spray painted portrait. absolutely stunning.

whoa...I never saw that Zarbon...very impressive. compared to the last one...man...that's a big step up. Hmm...! I see a Zangief Nappa...how awesome, I figured I'd never see that idea utilized. Sadly I think it's a tad too tall but it's still very nice. but...uh...the armor seems a little puffy. the Oozaru seems like it was painful to make...but then again maybe bigger figures are easier to paint? augh...hate to say it but the snout is impossible to ignore. It might not matter now that the custom is done but I suggest you try this while sculpting (something I've never done myself but am going to try, I must admit my sculpting isn't the best in the world). Find images of the character from every angle (or just one angle you happen to need), print it out, and keep the image close by while you sculpt so you can hover the figure over the image and determine whether or not you have the right size. Think of it like this, you're trying to fill in the blank spaces with the sculpt. no idea if it will actually help or not but it seems like it's worth trying.

Doesn't everybody's beard extend down their neck? I know mine sure does. Where's the derogatory factor to that insult? "a man who is socially inept and physically unappealing, especially one who has an obsessive interest in computing."or... "Derogatory term for slovenly nerdy people who have no sense of hygene or grooming. Often related to hobbies such as card gaming, video gaming, anime, et. al."they are all around us, lurking in the shadows, silently judging us all...

too much...way too much. Seeing all of these together is...augh. it's so nice to see them all in some sort of pose. I really hope they update Gohan's outfit before the actual release.
one other thing I can't help but notice...and I hope I'm not grasping at straws here...I'm really starting to think this Buu will actually have swappable torsos. Based on how the figures are made it would be very easy to include alternate torsos and it looks like they did in fact make a Buu with torso swapping in mind. I can't wait to find out if they made it like that.

I know 96% of the internet is already assuming Disney will release a watered down childish film but I bet Episode 7 will be a quality entry into the Star Wars series. Disney is completely capable of producing a quality movie every now and then. regarding the plot...(and let me just say it's absolute BS that they rendered most of the EU non canon)...it's been proven time and time again that's it's possible to create a well made and engaging experience within the Star Wars universe. Just look at KOTOR. I'm not saying this movie can live up to KOTOR but if it's done correctly it can be very good. I look at it this way... "In October 2012 the studio brokered a $4.05 billion deal to buy Lucasfilm, and with the deal came the announcement that they would be starting production on a whole new trilogy of Star Wars films that would keep the epic story going for years and years to come."source
that sounds appealing. I'd much rather have more new material than no material...I mean...assuming the material is good.

very interesting...it looks incredible. I'm surprised that decals work so well. I'd really like to see this with your Android 13 custom and I'd also like to see the Goku you mentioned if you add a logo to it.

don't question it, just go with it. pretty much banking on SS3 Goku as well. IMO, IMO, it's the least desirable option so of course it has a high likelihood of being released. still a bit burned from the Vegeta let down this year (really wanted a new version of SS Vegeta). now they could easily knock it out of the park...give the skin the exact same tone as the normal Goku (love that tone by the way), fix the mud brown gi, and even though it wouldn't make any sense maybe they could offer a power up effect with an alternate color. maybe blue. they won't, but I think it would be cool. ran across my mind. I only know this from a post I read but these figures are planned out a year in advance...now I don't know if this forum is a factor at all but if it is wouldn't you say talking about the SDCC release a year in advance might be helpful? if not it's still good, it's obviously bothering some people, so...worth discussing.

been meaning to post this as I made a similar argument about the decision to reissue the Figuarts Zero Goku a while back. I felt SS Vegeta and Trunks had a chance to be released for the European markets since the Figuarts Zero Goku, a web exclusive, saw a reissue. did some digging and this is basically what I've been banking on ever since Figuarts SS Goku and Piccolo saw a second reissue. Worth mentioning, even though those two are seeing a second release in America they were mainly put out for European markets. sourceuser quote - "It been stated in a interview that was a very, very special case. It's unlikely web exclusive to be reissue ever again anytime soon as stated in this recent interview with Bluefin." "Lim: The Figuarts Zero Goku was the very first Tamashii Web Exclusive that was ever re-issued and that was a very, very special case because its main purpose was for launching the market in Europe. The North American market sort of piggy-backed on that re-issue, but again, mainly for Europe and other new markets just to get the Dragon Ball thing going over there. It's not likely this can ever happen again because the limited nature of the Web Exclusive label pretty much ensures that once it comes out, it's done."Who can say with any certainty they WON'T put out Trunks and Vegeta for the European markets? Although it could potentially be a bad thing...I've read the third reissues of SS Goku and Piccolo have numerous QC issues...but that's beside the point. They can always release SS Vegeta and Trunks again for the European markets and absolutely should. when I said all that it hadn't occurred to me that this was for a Figuarts Zero release...I'm guessing they consider Figuarts and Figuarts Zero completely seperate and Figuarts already had a prescence in European markets. It sounds very wrong now that I'm reading it but it could very well be the case. If he was referring to the Dragonball line as a whole...well...either way, I can't figure out why they would go against their word and make such a big deal over the Figuarts Zero Goku. seems incredibly strange now that I think about it. why would they break the web exclusive rule and put out another run of the Figuarts Zero Goku instead of the highly in demand SS Vegeta? I don't know, maybe they had a good reason, maybe Figuarts Zero releases would appeal more to European collectors...can't possibly know. all that aside, I do think it's safe to say we can't expect anymore DBZ reissues. It's why I think an SDCC SS Vegeta/Trunks would make so much sense for this current point in time (all other arguments aside). well...for all I know it may just be for the benefit of collectors scalpers, I doubt Bandai earns massive profits off of limited run SDCC exclusives. at the end of the day I think it's best to just accept what they release and leave it at that.

not sure what I'd like to see. I was excited to see a new SS Vegeta this year and can easily get excited again but I'd hate to do so just to see Krillin with painted eyes announced...Trunks might be nice and there's surely some sort of logical color scheme they could add to it...SS3 Goku would be a bit of a letdown for me...I'd love a Kaioken Goku but I don't think anyone else is crazy about the idea...God Goku would be great if they gave it a vibrant repaint to make it stand out.
out of those options I think SS Vegeta or Trunks would be most desirable. It would get around the web exclusive issue and meet the high demand. it would also create yet another golden opportunity for scalpers but I guess that's just something that has to be dealt with at this point. I think Vegeta would be the best option just to open up the possibilty of a second Future Trunks release (maybe a saiyan armor version).

purely speculation. I simply added those in the hopes the right person would see them and recognize there was demand for the characters. there's absolutely no confirmation or even the slightest suggestion on any of darkened characters. orestes All the sprites were ripped from a Mugen game I have.

decided to update my old sprite chart with some of the new prototypes that were shown off recently. just like the last chart the characters with a question mark on top of them (Kaio-ken/God Goku, Buu Saga/Majin Vegeta, Kid Buu, and Bardock) are purely speculation.
