Harsh, is the icon less harsh now? I made it blue. D2D and Timone, that's because non-members aren't allowed to see that data on DBF. That isn't a flaw, that was done on purpose to promote membership . If you want to lurk, set your privacy to not show you in the list at the bottom. Unless there's a specific other reason you want to be able to not be logged in...? Ascat, guess you'll just have to post more than 50 times then, *ribbit*

Booooo!!!! My reason is simply that I login from different devices, and my laptop is the only one that actually saves my password. I never feel the need to login when I just want to see updated posts from my phone/tablet/other computers.

eh, that'll work, would stand out more if you reverse the colors, Letters "NEW" in White, Box around it Blue, just a suggestion, I leave the decision up to you mods.

I have a Q... For the news things in the to of the page, could you make birthdays pop up there? I hate having to click to see them.

The word in the box isn't very important. It's just a signifier that the topic has new posts. Don't stress about it too much. It isn't going to have the code to shut off a timebomb or anything in it... or will it? D2D, sorry, but the new forum software, to my knowledge, does not even bother recognizing one non-logged-in user from the next. Otherwise you'd be able to view each board individually and see which topics are new, but I don't think that works when you're not logged in. No cookie is put on your phone/computer/tablet to my knowledge, unless you are logged in. Bringing the bottom thing back wouldn't help that; it'd just permit non-members to spy on members, and there's no point so I made that only visible to logged in members. Can't really do much in that news thing Gohan. It only displays what I want to type in it, which isn't much.

Also, I just researched that birthday thing, and Proboards (this site is indeed a Proboards forum in case the URL fooled you) doesn't support the old, convenient way of seeing birthdays. At least not yet. Whenever they do, you can bet I'll change it so you don't have to click it!

I don't like it simply because I like to know if I have a reason for logging on and I'd really like to avoid clicking through every thread to check.

You're going to have to get used to it, sorry. We aren't living in 2010 anymore like on dbt, we have the newest version of proboards' software and there are some differences, most of them good.

Don't want to. Proboards will come up with their own updates to address most of these things so I don't have to sacrifice my career or time by spending 8 or more hours a day reprogramming the forums. As far as I can tell, I am finally done with everything I feel I need to reprogram. Also, to be perfectly honest... even if it is an inconvenience to have to spend 10 to 15 seconds logging in to view the swap meet or checklists (why not just checkmark the box to stay logged in if it is your device?), or to even see the [NEW] post icons, I don't really care. These are features that (logged in) members enjoy, membership is the entire reason to have a forum, and I only care about the members' experience here, which subsequently means I only care about the "logged in membership" experience.

Well if anyone else still uses a PC like I do and wants a shortcut...it seems the URL for recent posts still works when you're not logged in. dragonballfigures.boards.net/posts/recentI have tabs set up so I created a new tab just for the recent posts. I almost think it will be work better than having to scroll to the bottom of the page every time I want to go to the recent posts page.

YAY! If I could hit that like button more than once, I so would. *bookmarks link on all devices* lol. THANK YOU!! Now I can continue to only log on when I actually have something to post (like I did just now). Logged off members DO matter!
