Full Power Goku is in, but the verdict is still very much out. I am pleasantly surprised with the overall likeness of the face plates - I wasn’t at all expecting that, judging by what Tamashii had previously shown in press photos. I’ve heard others say they were disappointed when their figure didn’t have any airbrush shading work. However, mine definitely has a ruddy brownish tint across both the legs and torso. Could this possibly be varying quality control between factories? Either way, I was very disappointed that the colours aren’t at all accurate to the anime and are be better suited to help update 1.0 Ultimate Gohan. I imagine a lot of collectors will be doing the same.

Christmas came early this year, when I was luckily able to add this magnificent beast to the collection! Coming in for an absolute steal considering what scalpers are demanding for him nowadays.

Despite my unwavering dislike of the stylistic decisions Tamashii chose for this figure, I just couldn’t say no to him at the price. I guess, at least, I finally have a much needed combatant to display alongside my Ginyu 🥳

In my opinion this version of Goku is superior to the silver haired version, aesthetically. I’m just tired of “your hair color/length determines how powerful you are” that Dragon Ball has become.

Yet another Goku shaped piece of plastic for the collection. Though, I must say, this one is more than a pinch spicier than the original recipe. Turles really is an impressive figure in hand and has been a bucket list figure to me for a long time now. Must have voted for him nearly half a dozen times in every Tamashii nations poll. SO happy to add this guy to the pile!

Despite my immense dislike of the new Dragon Ball Heroes movie, I had to make an exception and pick up this awesome Vegeta. He’ll certainly make a good stand in for a powered down Buu saga or Tournament arc Vegeta.

Branjita  Good question. I had several problems regarding the direction of this movie. Primarily, Toei’s decision to reimagine Toriyama’s art style as an entirely 3-dimensional production. Rather than the traditional hand-drawn style, seemed to be lazy and soulless. All the character design choices for the new transformations and original characters, alike, were lacklustre and boring. They just didn’t gel with the iconic Dragon Ball Z aesthetic. Nor did they feel like they were even pulled from the same imaginary universe. The plot was equally unimaginative and was basically a recycled mash up of World’s Strongest meets Bio-Broly type of affair. However, it completely failed to recapture any semblance of a palpable or present threat seen in either film. crap film. Dragon Ball Daimo 🙏
