Biggest snake we had at our old place was a Carpet Python which measured about 3 metres. We had those things around all the time.

I'd risk my life if it's for my family, but if it was just me and it was in my backyard I'd give him that territory lol.

Just found another snake while cutting the lawn, probably because it's grown so big.

Unless the snake is threatening to you, leave it alone. You can tell a venomous snake from a non-venomous by the shape of its eyes generally, and if the snake is non-venomous and you aren't going to mess with it, what's the problem with keeping it around? Depending on its size, it's what is keeping the population of bugs, larvae turning into bugs, mice, rats, and squirrels low. I get annoyed that people kill possums, sometimes on purpose. They eat mice and rats when they can catch them, they generally don't get in your trash or tear up your property (like rats will), they are practically immune to rabies, and having them around just generally keeps rats, squirrels, skunks, and raccoons out of your neighborhood. They get a lot of undeserved hate, when they are really, really, really beneficial to have around.

Here in jersey. At least in the part I live they hunt deer. Because we're over populated with them. But that's during hunting season. I don't do it. I couldn't shoot a gun.

Well I found it by accident because the lawn mower killed it lol or I squished his head with the wheel(don't think that would kill it though.

Back in 2009, I woke up one morning and there was a 3 foot long Black Racer snake on my computer keyboard with his head up and twirling all about. They're harmless, but a snake is a snake lol Took me an hour to get it because it was quick and decided to hide under the desk among the other 30 black computer, TV, and videogame wires. Yeah, how's that for camouflage?

Haha it'll survive during these times with all the wiring. How'd you find it?

Well it stayed down there and I refused to fiddle with any wires. Instead, I cut off all exits from under the desk and forced it out one way into a trap I built with a plastic bin. Closed the top and let it outside in my neighbor's yard

With the Carpet Pythons I had to move them because my dad's phobia was really bad and he has a bad heart. But if it wasn't a python we always called the local snake catcher to move them on. Even I'm not stupid enough to mess with a venomous snake.
